BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH

Paat Rusmevichientong

Paat Rusmevichientong is an Assistant Professor in the School of Operations Research and Information Engineering at Cornell University, where he has been since 2004. He received BA (1997) in Mathematics from University of California, Berkeley, and MS (1999 ) and PhD (2003) in Operations Research from Stanford University. His research interests include data mining, information technology, and nonparametric algorithms for stochastic optimization problems with applications to supply chain and revenue management. From 2003 through 2004, he worked in the data mining and personalization group at Amazon.com. He has been a recipient of the George B. Dantzig Dissertation Award (First Prize, 2003), the NSF CAREER Award (2008), and the Sonny Yau '72 Excellence in Teaching Award (2008).
