TITLE
Simulation Optimization: Algorithms and Convergence

ABSTRACT
We consider the problem of optimizing the performance of a stochastic system using simulation. This involves determining what systems to simulate and how much effort to expend on estimating the performance of each simulated system. We will present simulation optimization algorithms and associated convergence theory. The focus will be on approaches with broad applicability, provable convergence, and attractive empirical performance.
