Aurelie Thiel is an Associate Professor in the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA. She also serves as a co-director for the Master of Science in Analytical Finance at Lehigh. Her current research focuses on robust optimization applied to health care financing under uncertainty. Prof. Thiel holds a SM and a PhD in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from MIT and joined Lehigh University in 2004. She won the INFORMS George Nicholson student paper competition in 2003 and the IBM Faculty Award in Service Sciences in 2007.
