Research activities at the OR Center span a wide spectrum of methodological topics and applications, ranging from small, unsponsored projects involving a single faculty supervising a student's thesis to much larger, sponsored programs involving several faculty/staff and students. On our research activities page, we list a large number (but not all) topics for research that we have carried out at the OR Center.
Research facilities for the OR Center include computer labs, a reading room (which also is our conference room); several student break-out rooms, desk space for all of our students, and office space for visitors. The facility is located in building E40, known as the Muckley Building.
Theses date from 1955 and are available in the Philip M. Morse Reading Room in the OR Center.
The OR Center maintains a collection of technical reports from 1963 to 1977. Technical Reports are often publications of ORC doctoral theses in progress or interim/final reports from ORC sponsored research projects.
The OR Center Working Paper series is a collection of papers reflecting the results obtained in ongoing research projects in operations research written by current students and faculty. All of the working papers are available in electronic form (PDF files) through a direct download from Dspace.
Several other MIT labs and centers carry out work that is related to Operations Research.
