Parent Orientation Overview
Parent Orientation is a great way to get a glimpse of the many different experiences that your son or daughter will have an opportunity to explore at MIT. Some of the programs that will be offered include a Convocation hosted by President Susan Hockfield and panels addressing various aspects of MIT life including health and safety, academics, student life and athletics. You are also invited to a Jazz event on Sunday evening where you will have the opportunity to meet some of the administrators who specifically support programming for first-year students. Parent connectors, parents of current MIT undergraduates, will also be there to share their experiences.
Parking Information
- Parking will be available in the West Lot and Westgate Lot, which are both located at the West Campus end of Vassar Street. On Saturday, look for Orientation Leaders who will be wearing RED polo shirts, who will be available to direct and assist you when you arrive.
