Seminar Series

We invite faculty members or researchers to give talks in the field of optics or optical engineering every few weeks, not just from MIT but also from other local institutions such as Harvard University, Boston University, and Tufts University.

Company Connections

We invite respresentatives from local optics-related companies to give talks about their company and products every few weeks. They include Newport, Hamamatsu Photonics, Comcast, Motorola, Nokia, JDS Uniphase, Ocean Optics, Spiricon, etc.. If we have the chance, we also organize tours to their labs.

Lab Tours

We visit local research labs with short presentations of their researchers every few weeks. They include LIGO (Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory), Center for Integrated Photonics, MIT Spectroscopy Lab, etc..
