Denise Rouleau

It would be an honor and a pleasure to serve Region I as the next Treasurer.

Over the past 13 years, I have been very active in volunteering both at the National level and the regional level.  I have been a member of the Financial Research Administration Neighborhood Committee as well as served as its Chair.  I have also served as Chair of the Neighborhood Program Committee and during that time also served on the Professional Development Committee.  At the regional level, I have served on multiple Spring Meeting Committees serving as Co-Chair of the 2009 meeting; Chair of the Volunteer and Membership Committee in 2008; Awards Committee member 2007 and 2008; and currently as a member of the Web Development Committee.  I find volunteering to be a rewarding experience and enjoy the opportunity to work with other Region I members.

As treasurer, I would work towards keeping the region “in the black” and would work with the region Chair, advisory committee and the membership to make sure that spending is kept to what is necessary to provide our members with the opportunities they have come to expect for professional development.  I would also work to find ways to expand Region I offerings while keeping costs affordable.  In these hard economic times, it takes creativity to be able to offer high quality education opportunities at affordable prices.  I feel after all my experience with the different committees that I am up to this challenge.
