NIH Required Training in the Protection of Human Research Participants
NIH Human Subjects Education Requirement
Beginning on October 1, 2000, NIH began requiring education on the protection of human research participants for all investigators submitting NIH applications.
Before funds are awarded for competing applications, investigators must provide a description of education completed for each individual responsible for the design and conduct of the research.
MIT has developed a web based human sujects training course.
You can also access Robert A. Brown's memo dated June 28, 2000 regarding this required education.
