A couple notes: If you type a long line into the message box, it'll wrap around to the next line. However, when you send the message, these "fake line breaks", which Motif inserts, will not appear. You can have xzewd insert line breaks for you, however.
You can also set it up so that the message box understands Emacs-like key bindings.
