What are snapshots?
Snapshots are little pictures which show up in the snapshots window instead of plain, boring
usernames. You can set up a snapshot for
yourself which people who have you on their .anyone file will see
when they log on. You can also set up
snapshots for your friends through X resources, so that you'll see
the snapshots you want instead of their snapshots or their
boring old usernames. You can also set up snapshots for your aliases through X resources.
Snapshots may be monochrome or multicolor, and several formats can be read.
There's also an experimental way to get animated
snapshots.
