Our innovation is a kit of Idea Generators that spark women's self-help groups (WSHGs) to design, produce and sell their own home-grown handwashing solutions within the slum communities of Agra, India. In this way, handwashing will be leveraged as a means of improving the physical and economic well-being of slum dwellers.
Our one-year pilot is designed specifically as a partnership with Shri Niroti Lal Buddha Sansthan (SNBS), a community-based organization that focuses on health and reaches out to over 70 Agra slums through well-established women's self-help groups.
