Myths About Being a Sorority Woman at MIT
“Sororities are just for ditzy girls.”
FALSE!...well HALF False. Sororities at MIT are only for women, sorry boys! However, the women in our six sororities come from a diverse group of ethnicities, upbringing, interests, abilities, and personalities.
"Recruitment is long and boring."
FALSE! Panhellenic Recruitment Counselorss, Panhel Exec, and members from every sorority come together and work very hard to make this week fun and entertaining and to show you what we've got o be excited about. We want to show you everything our sororities have to offer, which may take more than a second to express. Recruitment is what you make of it - when you take the chance to have a glimpse of what sororities have to offer, you will surely not be disappointed.
"The only time to join a sorority is freshman year."
FALSE! In fact, many sophomores, and even some juniors and seniors join sororities each year. Don't let your age hold you back from being in a sorority!
