Dr. Kim is a professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and currently serves as an acting director of the Park Center.
Dr. Kim has been an MIT Mechanical Engineering faculty since 2001. His areas of research include nanomanufacturing, PZT MEMS for tunable optical devices, MEMS RF switches, piezoelectric micro power generation and energy harvesting, long-range ordered nano structures, carbon nanotube assembly and nanopelleting.
Dr. Kim received a B.S. from Seoul National University, an S.M. in Production Engineering from Korea Advanced Institute of Technology, and a Ph.D. from MIT in mechanical engineering.
