Welcome to the Fundraising Committee!

Goals of the Committee:

· Raise substantial funds to support PDA events;

· Discuss and implement ideas for fundraising events;

· Plan and organize vendor fairs.

Events conducted / planned by the committee:

· Successfully organized PDA’s first-ever and profitable vendor fair in June 2012;

· A poster session for postdocs along with vendor fair will be organized in June 2013

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:

Postdocs who are interested in joining the committee are welcome. We absolutely need volunteers to assist in the upcoming committee events. The volunteers would participate in fundraising brainstorming sessions, and help the committee chair plan and execute events successfully.

I come from India. I earned my Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from Drexel University College of Medicine, Philadelphia. I joined MIT as a Postdoctoral Associate in the Niles lab in May 2011. My work at MIT involves developing molecular tools to study the human malaria parasite Plasmodium falciparum.
