My parents moved to Hawaii in the spring of 1996, and I've visited them at least once a year since then. They live in Hawaii Kai, which is about 15 miles east of downtown Honolulu, on the southeastern part of Oahu. You can see the warm blue waters of the ocean from their fifth floor balcony and walk down to the beach park and see spectacular sunsets like this.
