Some students
in the group come from other MIT departments such as Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science. To apply for admissions
to EECS contact the EECS
Graduate Office.
BCS students
are usually supported by a departmental training grant, which
covers stipend plus tuition. Students from other departments,
such as EECS, are supported as Research Assistants on faculty
grants, or occasionally support themselves as Teaching Assistants.
Students
in the group typically have "hard science" backgrounds, along
with an interest in the problems of visual perception. Students
come with bachelors degrees in many areas, including psychology,
biology, mathematics, computer science, and physics.
Postdoctoral
training:
There are various
opportunities for postdoctoral training at the lab; what's available
changes from time to time. Inquire directly to a professor at any
time about the current possibilities.
