MISSION STATEMENT

Employment Services provides employee relations services to employees and supervisors, campus-wide. Included among the services provided primarily by human resources officers are the following: staffing assistance, job counseling, policy interpretation, performance evaluation, salary administration and conflict resolution.

Human resources officers are departmentally assigned and advise on layoff and termination procedures. They also advise employees of their options in the face of a potential separation. Human resources officers are the first line of assistance and employees are encouraged to seek their advice.

They have trained and continue to provide advice and support on the performance appraisal process in conjunction with Training and Development.

Employment Services staff members also represent the Institute before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination.
