Bio-Enterprise Pilipinas Inc. (BEPI)
Established in June 2005, Bio-Enterprise Pilipinas Inc. (BEPI) is a biotechnology company that manufactures biodegradable polyhydroxybutyrate (PHB) resins via a proprietary technology that makes use of bacteria and coconut water.  Within one year of its incorporation, BEPI will tie-up with industry partners, to improve the quality of PHB plastics to make it suitable for different industrial and biomedical applications and at the same time  lower production costs.  We envision our company to become the number one provider of biodegradable plastic resins to local plastics manufacturers in the Philippines and eventually the rest of the world. 

BioCredit
BioCredit is composed of a software and biometrics credit machine that would be responsible in upgrading the systems of the banks and other credit institution by means of replacing the plastic card by using finger print particularly thumb print. This program will be installed and connected to the data base of headquarter of banks or credit institution and that to be network to the establishments wherein BioCredit is deployed. Program can be customized based on the needs of the market. This technology will also eliminate the use of paper for receipt. Once a policy holder pays his purchases using his thumb he will receive a text message that contains the detail of his transaction. He may also inquire this credit limit and unpaid accounts thru text. A monthly bill will be sent thru you e-mail address.

BlueTalk
The BlueTalk is a company that aims to provide innovative Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) services. The company will introduce a product that integrates bluetooth technology and VoIP into a system that allows voice calls transmitted over a local area network (LAN). This product is a low-cost, realiable, flexible, and readily-available means of communication between mobile phones within a LAN. The company will be using the manufacturer and affiliate business model to generate income from its client and partner companies. (i.e. Software purchase and maintainance fees for client; and revenue sharing with DSL provider and mobile phone sellers).

Cement Masters Corp.
Rice Husk Ash (RHA) is one of the large reserves of mineral admixtures in the South-Asian countries. High strength and high performance concrete these days cannot be imagined without the use of such admixtures. Various types of mineral admixtures such as silica fume, fly ash, granulated blast furnace slag and others are available. It has been observed that the local rice husk ash fulfills the requirements of chemical composition stipulated for pozzolanic materials. Similarly, the optimum percentage of Rice Husk Ash in concrete was found to be in the range of 10-15 percent by weight of cement.

Biotech
Embryo Transfer is a biotechnology tool that will boost the production of genetically superior goats. Production of 30 kids from a pair of goats is possible compared to the existing production of only 2 kids per year. The business will use embryo transfer to enhance the productivity of goats, reduce importation cost, and produce genetically superior kids; at bigger volume with virtually the same period of time. Through biotechnology, we are able to sell imported goat breeds (produced locally) at a much lesser price, and still have desirable income.

Kaizen (aka Scum and Go)
Our product is a pond treatment that breaks down wastes that accumulate in fish ponds. While bacteria has long been employed in hobby aquaria, its use in commercial scale fish ponds has been limited by shelf life and cost. Our product is uniquely positioned because bacteria propagation and preservation costs are minimal compared to competing products from the west. Although similar preparations are available locally, these are usually in liquid form, hence heavy, bulky and perishable. Because our preparation is in powdered form, it is smaller, easier to handle and has a considerably longer shelf life.

Kamlong
Eggplant and tomato in one? Possible, with the technology produced at the countryside-the CLSU Kamlong. The technology aims to increase tomato production especially during off season and increase productivity of tomato farmers by producing high value crops. By allowing the eggplant strong rootstock to serve as foundation for grafted tomato scion, production of resistant and high quality tomatoes will be realized while letting the eggplant generate its fruit. Thus, the introduction of the technology ensures two captive markets for our tomato farmers during off season. Wa-moi
Change in technology to piggery business has arrived. Septic tank and disinfectant spray now only serves as old habits for eliminating foul odor. “Multi-Animal System” is a probiotic technology that contributes to the health of animals, lessen odor, and enhance decomposition. Through MAS, it is now possible for people living in urban areas to start a piggery farm business either intensive or extensive without the fear of environmental hazards and conflicts with the neighbors thus, increasing and promoting entrepreneurship in the country. Additional income is also possible because of organic fertilizer production coming from the manure of the animals.

Papaya Ringspot Virus has become a limiting factor to papaya production in the Philippines , as well as the postharvest losses due to hasten fruit ripening. The team is developing Solo Papaya seedlings with superior postharvest quality and fruit quality and resistant to PRSV. The seedling have delayed ripening trait that exhibit longer number of days from color break to full yellow, with enhanced taste and firmness. The development of this export variety, Solo Papaya is expected to lead the rehabilitation of the various papaya growing areas in the Philippines and the provision of additional income to small farmers.

Ethereal Manufacturing Co.
Paper Coffin was conceived from the idea that due to poverty Filipino Families are having difficulty providing decent burial. Because of this we decided to create coffins out of recycled newspapers and telephone directories making it in expensive and affordable yet quality at the same time. In doing so, we are helping the community with proper waste disposal as well as supporting conservation of natural resources. We produce our product by combining and assembling weave paper, skeletal framework made of good lumber, clear glass and elegantly made satin interiors. It comes in different styles and colors to choose from. And since it is made of lightweight raw materials it can also be used and included for cremation.

Man Power Inc. is a manufacturing firm that is intimately engaged in agriculture and process technology. The Company will establish in Leyte and will produce alternative fuel made from coconut to cater mainly to the petroleum diesel market, specifically to its petroleum dealers. It will also engage in the sales of other profitable coconut by-products. Its vision is to be the leading company that promotes cheap, clean, cost-efficient, and engine-friendly alternative fuel and other coconut by-products by totally revolutionizing the processing of Coco-Methyl Ester (CME or otherwise known as biodiesel) starting from the harvesting of its main raw material.

Crumb Rubber Recycling
Rubber tires are made of vulcanized rubbers and reinforcing materials. When they are no longer serviceable, about <1% is abraded. Natural degradation takes long time because of crosslinked structure of rubber and presence of stabilizers. This poses 2 major environmental problem: the wastage of valuable rubber and the disposal of waste rubber tires. Blending crumb rubber tires with alkyd resin resulted in the development of rubber tiles with improved mechanical properties and lower production cost. The technology will require minimal investment and quick payback.

Lahar Porcelain
The eruption of Mt. Pinatubo released lahar of 7 to 10 km 3 volume. The lahar's key component is feldspar, a raw material for ceramics and some minor magnetic contaminants. If these magnetic contaminants could be removed, lahar could be used in making porcelains with desired whiteness, translucency and low firing temperature. Presently, Philippine porcelain makers import their raw materials. Our lahar porcelain technology was developed using non-magnetic lahar, kaolin and silica. Lahar was passed through magnetic separator to get non-magnetic lahar.

Polystyrene Recycling
Waste foamed polystyrene (wFPS) is a major problem in waste management. Their use is increasing in fast food chains and they do not degrade. They occupy large space in dumpsites, thrown anywhere and clog drainage. Volume of wFPS generated is 200 tpm; 70% is in MM. Attempts to recycle them were not successful and expensive due to high transport cost. Our technology involves densification of wFPS in used oil to produce synthetic lumber or exportable recycled raw material. It also helps solve the solid waste problem.

Medical Information System
Medical Information System or MIS provides an innovative system using smart card technology that will revolutionize the traditional medical transactions and record keeping in the country. MIS kits' composed of a software featuring an interface showing the patient's personal and medical information and history, a card reader/writer for reading and writing data, and a set of 256 kb secure-memory chip smart cards. The kit allows medical personnel to access records, store, retrieve and change medical data of patients as needed. Medical Electronic Diagnostic Solutions
MEDS, Inc. will be designing and manufacturing e-Health devices and will be providing the necessary components for data-transport between patients, doctors, and health care facilities. MEDS Inc. will be a manufacturer of biomedical monitoring modules and a provider of cellphone applications and server units to health care facilities. The modules are Bluetooth-enabled and link with a MEDS gateway, such as a cell phone. The company works in accreditation with leading telecommunications providers for the e-Health service. The company will maintain an ICT-solutions-provider relationship with key hospitals in the metropolis for networking both internal (in-hospital) and external (satellite clinics, remote hospitals) sites.

Pervasive Inventory System ( PIS ) is an automatic inventory system which promises to give clients more profit in less time with minimal cost. Pinoy Gene Inc.
Pinoy Gene Inc. is a biotechnology company that will harness and then use the information in the genetic material of Filipinos in order to produce customized drugs that are safer, faster, and cheaper for Filipinos in the long-term, while rewarding the owners of the genetic information in the short term. Through the Pinoy Gene Databank, multinational pharmaceutical companies (who normally spend at least $8 Billion in outsourcing drug development procedures, $75 in Southeast Asia alone) can access genetic information that will positively and significantly impact their drug testing and formulation improvement processes. Pinoy Gene Contributors are paid royalties each time their genetic information is used in-silica to determine drug interactions and adverse reactions.

RC Challenge Team
Our country is faced with so many challenges; one of this is the deteriorating quality of education. The RC Challenge team is determined to do something about it. We could see an opportunity behind that challenge, by creating a business model that will offer a win-win approach to the problem. Our proposed Biz Plan is a self-sustaining, multi-disciplined, give and take business model which involved software development (that will perfectly fit with the Philippines educational system and condition), book publishing, training, manufacturing and direct selling. IT and selling of school needs will serve as the advertisement and revenue generation, respectively.

RiceWall Corp.
To help the housing problem, RiceWall Corporation will develop the cement-bonded board from rice straw. i) Machines used are presser, molders, hammermill, dryer, and minerelizer ii) Rice straw was fed into a hammermill. Afterwards, the materials were soaked in chemicals and then dried. It is then manually mixed with cement and distributed on a wooden frame mat of 4m x 8m x ½ cms and then pressed for 24 hours. The primary target market are contractors. Boardura will be distributed 50% to hardware's, 25% in contractors and 25% in construction firms. Pricing will be lower than existing competitors.     Billboards, tarpaulins, leaflets, roving audio van, and website will be implemented.

All these concerns give way to the establishment of our team, Sanitary Aqua Vendo team. Sanitary Aqua Vendo is a water vending machine that has the function to provide clean water for hygienic purpose. A consumer can use it by inserting five pesos in the coin slot of the machine. It will be installed within the cubicle of public restrooms of business establishments in the Philippines most specially Metro Manila area.

Calatagan Seaweed Processing Corporation (CSPC) innovates rotary drying technology for semi-processing of Eucheuma seaweeds—an important source of Semi-Refined Carrageenan (SRC) or Philippine Natural Grade (PNG) carrageenan widely used as a food and industrial additive. Rotary drying is envisioned to replace the popular practice of open sun-drying to increase production efficiency and improve quality of dried seaweed chips. We are a service company offering establishments in malls the ability to reach customers through Wi-Fi technology. Communications, coupons and ads, are sent to all Wi-Fi connected devices (PDAs, laptops and Wi-Fi-enabled cellphones). Establishments subscribe to our services on a per hour basis and communications will be sent during that time to device-carrying customers. The customers receive the communications at no cost from our base stations as soon as their devices are detected.
