Other Work from heat to power

In 2.670, "Mechanical Engineering Tools," students built stirling engines to learn how to use machines in a shop environment. Having had a bit of shop experience previously, I took the oppotunity to build a slightly modified stirling engine that featured a graphite power piston and a clear power cylinder, so that the piston could be seen in motion. The new cylinder required a redesign of the gas pathways between the displacement cylinder and the power cylinder as well.
