My research focuses on developing indoor navigation systems for individuals with physical disabilities. Specifically, I write algorithms and mobile phone applications that map the indoor geometry and topology of public transportation buildings. In addition to making a technical contribution to my field, I hope to help people.

I have a breadth of experience and training that includes aspects of computer science, structural engineering, transportation and architecture. My interests include: automated creation of semantic and topological building models; real-time information systems that improve the safety of building occupants; and intellectual property law.
