Wind Chill

On November 1, 2001, the national weather service introduced the revised wind chill index:

WC = 35.74 + 0.6215 T + (0.4275 T - 35.75) V^0.16

which replaced the old wind chill index:

WC = 0.0817(3.71 V^0.5 + 5.81 - 0.25 V) (T-91.4) + 91.4
