MIT philosophy: directions: from logan airport

By taxi: taxi fare from logan airport is about $22-$28 (with tip). During non-rush hour, the taxi ride will take about 15 minutes. During rush hour, the ride could take 30 minutes.

By 'T' (subway): from any airport terminal, take the silver line (a strange pseudo-subway semi-electric bus) to south station (the fare is $1.25 in exact change), and change to the red line "inbound" (towards alewife) to kendall/MIT. The journey will take about 35 minutes. The kendall/MIT stop is a 5 minute walk from the department.
Alternatively, if you don't like strange buses, take the free airport shuttle bus from any airport terminal to the airport subway station (on the blue line). (NB: some shuttles do not stop at the subway.) Buy a ticket ($1.25). Take the blue line ("inbound") to government center; go upstairs and take the green line to park street. At park street, go downstairs and take the red line to kendall/MIT (the "outbound" train towards alewife). The journey time is a little longer, and involves more changes than the silver line option.

By car: mapquest directions to the department (32 vassar street).
