Reason

2

Mechanical Engineering

Bibarel

MIT’s mascot is the beaver, nature’s hard worker. Bibarel is The Beaver Pokemon and is also known for being an industrious worker, like MIT students.

6

Electrical Engineering &
Computer Science

Rotom & Porygon-Z

Rotom represents the EE and Porygon-Z the CS part. The green binary code is inspired by The Matrix and also has a message (read line-by-line.)

7

Biology

Eevee

Eevee is the Evolution Pokemon and can evolve into 8 different species. Fitting for biology whose principles revolve around natural selection.

8

Physics

Dialga & Palkia

A fight between the Temporal and Spatial Pokemon will create weird physical phenomena. Their rule over space and time creates the laws of physics.

10

Chemical Engineering

Alolan Muk

The vivid coloration of the Sludge Pokemon is caused by chemical reactions to the garbage it eats. Sounds like A. Muk is a ChemE factory!

15

Management

Persian

Team Rocket’s Boss, Giovanni, kept a Persian by his side while leading the criminal organization. He definitely had some good management skills.

16

Aerospace Engineering

Mega Rayquaza

In the Delta Episode of ΩRαS, the player rides a Mega Rayquaza into space to destroy an incoming meteor that contains Deoxys.

20

Biological Engineering

Sivally & Mewtwo

Several creatures in the Pokemon universe were modified by humans, but Sivally and Mewtwo were created by the Aether Foundation and Team Rocket, respectively.
