Jens Hainmueller, Assistant Professor of Political Science, studies comparative and international political economy and political methodology. His methodological research interests include statistical methods for causal inference and experimental design. His applied research interests include the role of money in politics, trade and fair trade certification, immigration, and representation.
Professor Hainmueller teaches courses in quantitative methods. His work appeared in venues such as the American Political Science Review, Journal of the American Statistical Association, International Organization, Political Analysis, and Electoral Studies. Professor Hainmueller holds an MSc in International Political Economy from the London School of Economics as well as an MPA degree and a Ph.D. in Government from Harvard University.
