GRADUATE STUDIES

Graduate Studies in Political Science

ATTENTION: The deadline for submitting an application for admission has been changed to DECEMBER 15th.

MIT Political Science graduate students develop into influential political scientists through rigorous coursework and high-level research, through hands-on fieldwork and close collaboration with faculty. In fact, the size and structure of our graduate programs allow you to engage with professors across a number of subfields on a daily basis.

We welcome applicants from all disciplines—an undergraduate degree in political science is not necessary. We encourage you, however, to complete some coursework in political science or related subjects like history, economics, philosophy, psychology, or sociology before you apply to one of our programs.
