GRADUATE STUDENT  |  JEREMY FERWERDA

Jeremy Ferwerda is a PhD candidate who studies comparative politics and methodology, with a regional focus on Europe. He is currently working on several projects, including the effect of decentralization on social spending, the tradeoffs surrounding the extension of citizenship to immigrants, and subnational conflict/nation-building. Previously, he graduated summa cum laude from Cornell University with degrees in Biological Science (Genetics) and European History and worked as a financial analyst at the hedge fund D.E. Shaw & Co. He is a graduate affiliate of the Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies at Harvard University.
