Nathan Cisneros

Nathan Cisneros is a PhD student in political economy and comparative politics. His research interests include welfare and labor politics, governance of the economy, public policy analysis and the political economy of advanced industrial democracies. He has a particular interest in the politics of France and Japan and has conducted extensive field work in both countries. Nathan's dissertation examines the political causes and effects of increasingly segmented labor markets in industrial societies, with particular attention to this process in the "social insurance welfare states". Nathan completed his undergraduate degrees at the University of California, Berkeley. He has also been affiliated with Keio University and the University of Tokyo in Japan and the Institut d'Études Politiques de Paris (Sciences Po) in France.
