Biography
Tobias Harris is a Ph.D. candidate in political science at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. His research interests include Japanese politics and foreign policy; bureaucratic politics; ideas and ideology; U.S.-Japan relations; and East Asian international relations. A graduate of Brandeis University (2005, BA) and Cambridge University (2006, M.Phil), he has worked for a Japanese legislator, runs the blog Observing Japan, and occasionally comments on Japanese politics in newspapers and on television and radio.
