Process
Nominations for our 2009 Infinite Mile Awards are now being accepted for individuals and teams. The deadline for submitting a nomination is May 8. To submit a nomination, send an e-mail to Ann McNamara (annm@mit.edu) or, if you would prefer, a letter to the Infinite Mile Awards Selection Committee. Mail the letter in a Personal and Confidential envelope addressed to Ann McNamara, Room 5-208. Your submission should include your name, the name of the individual you are nominating, the category for which you are submitting your nomination, and a detailed explanation.
The Infinite Mile Award Selection Committee for 2009 includes Joe Coen/Events and Information Center, Lorrie Faggen-Wilkins/Office of the General Counsel, and Bara Blender/Publishing Service Bureau.
Your reasons for nominating an individual or a team may overlap two or more categories described in the Awards Criteria. Since there may be important contributions that we have not explicitly identified, you may refer to any criteria that you feel are relevant.
Eligibility
The annual Infinite Mile Awards for our area are in the range of $1,000. The amount awarded to individual members of a team will be determined by its size. All employees in our group are eligible to nominate or be nominated for an award. You also may nominate employees elsewhere at the Institute who meet our awards criteria and who have provided exceptional service to offices within our group.
