MIT to launch Health and Life Sciences Collaborative
To address some of society’s most pressing health challenges, MIT President Sally Kornbluth is launching the MIT Health and Life Sciences Collaborative (MIT HEALS), a new effort aimed at harnessing the collective power of researchers from fields such as engineering, science, AI, economics, business, policy, design, and the humanities to develop high-impact health solutions.
MIT’s Daron Acemoglu and Simon Johnson win Nobel Prize in Economics
The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will host a virtual press conference with Prof. Daron Acemoglu, Prof. Simon Johnson and President Sally Kornbluth following the announcement that Acemoglu and Johnson received the Nobel Prize in Economics for their work on “studies of how institutions are formed and affect prosperity.”

The Massachusetts Institute of Technology will host a virtual press conference with Prof. Moungi G. Bawendi and President Sally Kornbluth following the announcement that Bawendi was awarded one-third of the Nobel Prize in Chemistry for his work on “the discovery and synthesis of quantum dots.”
