MIT to unveil report on the future of natural gas
Press Conference at National Press Club Friday, June 25WASHINGTON, D.C. - On Friday, June 25, MIT scientists will unveil a report on a topic of major importance to the current debate on energy, security, and climate change: the future of natural gas. Co-authored by Ernest J. Moniz, Director of the MIT Energy Initiative (MITEI) and former Undersecretary of Energy, the study looks at the potential of natural gas to help reduce greenhouse gas emissions and meet our current energy needs — as well as at technological, environmental, and policy issues. Like previous MIT reports on coal and nuclear energy, “The MIT Study on the Future of Natural Gas” is grounded in science, supported by objective analysis, and designed to inform future energy options.
Please join Ernest Moniz and others involved in the MIT report on Friday, June 25 at the National Press Club in Washington DC for a discussion and Q&A on this important and topical issue.
