Salman Khan ’98, founder of the Khan Academy, to deliver commencement address
Cambridge, Mass. — Press are invited to cover MIT’s 146th Commencement on Friday, June 8, 2012 at 10 a.m. in Killian Court, located off Memorial Drive. The guest speaker is Salman Khan ’98, an online-education pioneer and founder of the Khan Academy. MIT President Susan Hockfield will deliver the traditional charge to graduates for the last time during her tenure as president. MIT Provost and President-elect L. Rafael Reif will assume the presidency on July 2.The entire graduation ceremony will be webcast live; a link will be made available at www.mit.edu.

Media registration and credentialing
Press badges will be necessary to access Killian Court and must be picked up on the morning of commencement between 8 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. in Building 4, on the first floor adjoining Killian Court. Enter the campus at 77 Massachusetts Ave (Building 7/Lobby 7) or 25 Ames Street (Building 66) and follow the signs to Building 4. http://whereis.mit.edu/?go=4
Please arrive no later than 9:15 a.m. to allow time for credentialing and entrance to Killian Court by 9:30 a.m. The commencement program begins at 10 a.m.
