Researchers and officials to celebrate the restart of “Alcator C-Mod” at MIT on Monday
Those gathered will tour of the Alcator C-Mod experiment, including the control room and the cell where the experiment is housed. The visit will conclude with those assembled pushing a button to start the sequence leading to the creation of a fusion plasma in the vacuum chamber of the experiment, signifying the restart of the project.
