This privacy statement reflects the current information practices of MIT Professional Education and its affiliated programs. We do not collect personally identifiable information about any user or survey respondent unless the person voluntarily provides such information. For example, you might voluntarily provide email or other contact information when requesting program materials for MIT Professional Education Short Programs to be sent through the mail, or in conjunction with a survey. If you voluntarily provide your email address or other contact information for one of these purposes, we might also use it to inform you of changes to MIT Professional Education and its affiliated programs, to ask for your feedback on some aspect of MIT Professional Education and its affiliated programs, or notify you about new products or services from MIT Professional Education and its affiliated programs. At your request, we will remove your contact information from our files.

We do not make your contact information or any other personally identifiable information available to anyone outside MIT Professional Education and its affiliated programs or its service providers (who use the information only for authorized MIT Professional Education purposes) unless we are legally required to do so.

Ecommerce policy

We are committed to preserving your privacy. We use the information that you provide (name, address, telephone number, credit card number, etc.) to process your order and maintain our transaction records. The information will not be used for any commercial or philanthropic purpose not directly connected with or supported by MIT without your consent.

Our shopping cart software may use cookies to create and maintain your shopping cart during a session and to maintain your name and address for future visits to the site. Cookies are never used to store credit card information.

We are committed to providing you with a safe online experience. The software we use for processing credit card payments employs secure encryption technology (SSL) to reduce the possibility of theft, manipulation, and other alteration of any information that you provide to us.

Charitable gifts policy

MIT Professional Education and its affiliated programs is committed to the privacy of its alumni and friends. The information you provide on any forms connected to charitable giving will be used expressly for the purpose of correctly crediting your gift and/or pledge. It will not be used for any other commercial or philanthropic purpose; nor will this information be given, lent, or sold to any other individual or organization.
