Description of Research
Current interests are in the areas of speech and image processing and include multirate digital systems, filter banks and wavelets, digital filter design, low bit rate voice communications, image and video compression, vector quantization, target detection and recognition, and digital models for music synthesis and speech modification.

Awarded April 1992 in San Francisco. (co-author Steven Eddins).
