project name |
FSILG guide |
MIT client |
Departments of Housing and Student Life Programs and Fraternities, Sororities, and Independent Living Groups (FSILG) |
date |
June 2002 |
audience |
Incoming freshmen and undergraduate transfer students |
goals |
As a result of a new mandate that all incoming freshmen live in on-campus residence halls, a guide was necessary to market the FSILGs. |
strategy |
Feature ways in which freshmen can interact socially with the FSILGs through sports and community service until they are eligible to consider FSILG housing options in their sophomore year. Students prepared each two-page spread to give a sense of the personality and lifestyle of each house, helping direct students to FSILGs that fit their interests. |
benefits |
Freshmen get a sense of what life and living arrangements are like beyond the residence hall as well as a preview of FSILG alternatives. |
