Lesbian, Bisexual, Gay, and Transgendered at MIT (LBGT) |
date |
August 2003 |
audience |
MIT faculty, staff, administration, and students |
goals |
Convey that MIT is an open, welcoming community for lesbian, bisexual, gay, transgendered, and questioning individuals and their friends. Connect members of the community to a comprehensive collection of resources and to each other. |
strategy |
Revamp the LBGT's text-only Lavender Guide with an image-based brochure that retains some resource details but directs readers to the comprehensive LBGT website. Share the real faces of MIT's LBGT community by featuring up-close and personal portraits, quotes of those featured, the gay liberation flag's rainbow of colors, and "instant messaging" to bring in an element of fun, immediacy, and current culture. |
benefits |
The brochure offers both campus and Boston / Cambridge community
LBGT resources in a handy package.
