project name |
Report of the Treasurer |
MIT client |
Treasurer's Office |
date |
October 2002 |
audience |
Members of the MIT Corporation, alumni |
goals |
Create a more professional-looking report to enhance readability of financial data. Evaluate internal and external roles of team members to allow the client to focus on the editorial portion of the report instead of on the visual aspects. Evaluate the cover design to promote association of this publication with a suite of related publications produced by other MIT offices. |
strategy |
Hire a professional designer to create a new page layout and work with the client to develop the best presentation of financial data. PSB donated design services for the cover and used common visual cues to indicate the relationship to the companion publication, the President's Report. |
benefits |
The new design made the publication much more readable, and the cover carried a graphic identity that related to the President's Report. |
