project name |
September 11 Remembrance
poster, website, and spotlight http://web.mit.edu/events/sept11/ |
MIT client |
Office of the President |
date |
September 2002 |
audience |
MIT community |
goals |
Notify the MIT community about the events that were being organized to mark the anniversary of September 11. Give all groups in the community a way to join in the planning and posting of the events. |
strategy |
Create a poster about the upcoming anniversary to inform the community of the range of events and gatherings. Because the poster has to print before the event is fully organized, it must point to a companion website. Design a website to utilize the MIT Events Calendar to give members of the community the ability to incorporate their own related events. Create a spotlight on the MIT home page to notify the community of this coordinated system. |
benefits |
MIT community was given a common forum to plan and communicate for a day of remembrance. |
specifications |
17" x 22", 3-color poster on 80# Monadnock Astrolite PC cover and a small website using the IS Events Calendar program for posting, updating, and display. |
