Department of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) |
date |
September 2003 |
audience |
Members of the department, EECS alumni, visitors to the department,
and potential corporate donors
|
goals |
Gain the attention of younger alumni by establishing a new look and
updated feel to the department's existing 2-color newsletter, building
on the department's recently redesigned identity.
|
strategy |
Prominently feature an article that takes up at least two 2-page spreads
within the newsletter, with the remainder retaining common sections
such as the message from the department head, recent faculty hires and
retirees, honors and awards, lab news, donor lists, and faculty research.
|
benefits |
The new, full-color design brings to life the feature article photographs
and images of the faculty. An easy-to-follow template design can be
updated by internal staff members.
