Lemelson-MIT prize nomination brochure |
MIT client |
Lemelson-MIT Program |
completed |
July 2006 |
audience |
Nominators include those working in the fields of engineering, science, medicine, or business as inventors, venture capitalists, or other influential professionals. |
goals |
Announce to the scientific, engineering, and invention communities that the Lemelson-MIT Program's two prestigious annual awards have been modified and will now focus on younger inventors and inventors committed to addressing some of the planet's most pressing concerns. |
strategy |
Develop a copy-driven solution that quickly and clearly establishes the changes in the awards program while maintaining the successful branding elements, including the program's existing logo. Supplementary materials include an introduction letter, inserts on each of the two prizes, nomination forms, and "tell a colleague" and "reminder" postcards. |
benefits |
The brochure is a clear departure from the former nomination brochure in its size, messaging, content, color palette, and minimalist use of imagery. The brochure refers people to the website for more detailed information, which streamlines the updating process for Lemelson-MIT staff. |
