completed

May 2006

audience

MIT community, media, scientists, researchers, students, teachers, and government and corporate partners who have an interest in addressing the energy needs of the future

goals

Promote MIT's commitment to researching energy solutions for the planet. Demonstrate MIT's unique position to develop new solutions to this global challenge.

strategy

Create a graphic look and feel for all communication pieces that encapsulates the dedication, scientific know-how, and breadth of MIT research.

benefits

The work of the Energy Research Council was showcased in a consistent manner. MIT brand awareness was promoted to the media. The promotional efforts resulted in a turnout that was higher than expected. The event raised awareness among the media and the world at large that MIT is taking a leadership role in providing long-term solutions to the energy challenge.

specifications

Due to the tight schedule, all materials were printed digitally: invitations, posters, Energy Council report, programs, and table tent cards. Additional items included print ads, a PowerPoint template, and a spotlight on the MIT home page.
