Brochures
All brochures have one thing in common—they're looking for
attention. But the similarities end there. Brochures can take
a wide range of formats: from an 8 1/2" x 11" sheet folded
to fit into a standard business envelope to an oversized 48-page
full-color viewbook. A brochure might include one short blurb
with basic information or several pages of text. It might be illustrated
with black-and-white thumbnail photos or full-color imagery.
Of course, your budget will guide some of your choices, but the key to deciding the format for this or any other publication is the audience. Who will read it? Students, researchers, corporate donors, parents of high school seniors? How do you want them to act on or react to the information you are providing?
The resources below will help you to define the goals of your brochure and explore the process of creating one. Contact your PSB advisor at any point along the way. The earlier you bring us in, the greater help we can be.
