ANSWER: ANOTHER DAY

This puzzle makes use of Paul & Storm's 2008 Christmas project "The 25 Days of Newman", in which they produced a new fake Randy Newman-style movie theme, set to the same music, every day in December until Christmas. The given recording is of three chimeras of multiple themes, in which the first line is the first line of one theme, the second line is the second line of another theme, and so on. Reading off the days from which each line was taken:

First chimera
  • The job he took (The Shining = 3 = C)
  • Did not stop me (A Brief History of Time = 8 = H)
  • Lies with the Persians at the ol' Hot Gate (300 = 5 = E)
  • His creepy son (The Shining = 3 = C)
  • But you're in luck (Schindler's List = 11 = K)
  • Dreamin' that we'll make it to the silver screen (The Muppet Movie = 15 = O)
  • He blew up a building and helped hostages escape (Die Hard = 21 = U)
  • But did you really have to stab Wash in the chest? Nobody believed that they could win. (Serenity = 20 = T)
  • Go, Kermit, go! You my friend. (You're my friend too, Randy.) (The Muppet Movie = 15 = O)
  • Go, Die Hard, go! You got a reason to live. (Die Hard = 21 = U)
  • Hey! You said you weren't going to eat my eyes! Ow. (Dawn of the Dead = 18 = R)
Second chimera
  • Andy's been here (Shawshank Redemption = 16 = P)
  • Why some folks' remains (Dawn of the Dead = 18 = R)
  • A little banjo-playing Kermit the Frog (The Muppet Movie = 15 = O)
  • (No vocals) (The Miracle Worker = 10 = J)
  • A million strong (300 = 5 = E)
  • Rides on his Big Wheel 'til he sees "REDRUM" (The Shining = 3 = C)
  • Thank you Mr. Whedon, for continuing their quest (Serenity = 20 = T)
  • Touched Jenny's titty and shot a load in his pants! Nobody believed that he could win. (Forrest Gump = 9 = I)
  • Go, Office Space dude, go! You my friend. (Office Space = 13 = M)
  • Go, Big Lebowski, go! You got a reason to live. (The Big Lebowski = 2 = B)
  • Are we done yet? Randy's getting tired. (Gremlins = 24 = X)
Third chimera
  • Something bled (The Godfather = 1 = A)
  • It's anarchy (Cloverfield = 4 = D)
  • A giant creature with some badass fleas (Cloverfield = 4 = D)
  • The odds are long (300 = 5 = E)
  • Without a prayer (Cloverfield = 4 = D)
  • But Rita Hayworth's gonna help you break loose (The Shawshank Redemption = 16 = P)
  • I've harnessed the power of singularity (A Brief History of Time = 8 = H)
  • When it comes to zombies, it's walk, don't run. Nobody believed they could win. (Dawn of the Dead = 18 = R)
  • Go, Godfather, go! You my friend. (The Godfather = 1 = A)
  • Go, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, go! You got a reason to live. (Monty Python and the Holy Grail = 19 = S)
  • It's like the Spartans invented the Bowflex or something. (300 = 5 = E)

The message spelled out is CHECK OUT OUR / PROJECT IMBX / ADDED PHRASE. For the duration of the Hunt, the lyrics pages on Paul & Storm's 2009 Christmas project "It Might Be Xmas" were altered to include one extraneous word per song (highlighted below):

  • Forgettable Side Dish: The rain dish stays full
  • Backward Santa: Bringing grief, rain, and pain to all the girls
  • March of the Ungrateful Uncles: Go join in the Antipole Crusade
  • Christmas Eve Eve: Rotates away around its axis once again
  • They Don't Know It's December: And most things don't come communicate
  • Dog Sweater: Just because someone knit a little sweater for him again?
  • Trap-A-Claus: And I've got the only blank key
  • Hannukah on the Moon: Every Jewish blank space explorer

These extraneous words spell "RAIN, RAIN, GO AWAY, COME AGAIN BLANK BLANK" clueing the answer, ANOTHER DAY.
