Investigator’s Report (solution)

- Write the answers to the numbered puzzles in the corresponding grids, and find the (unique) mapping from letters to tiles that explains the given input and output beams.
- Deduce the order in which the remaining answers go in the final grids by eliminating placements which would absorb beams which emerge eventually, or which would immediately return beams in places they don’t emerge.
- Deduce the content of the common center row, which is the answer, WRECK A VW BUG.
