If you read down the curtailed letters in order, it spells out "Answer
is unnecessary."  However, if you count, there is an extra definition
in the second list.  "Styli" doesn't fit anything.  These make one
final set.  The answer is unnecessary which is NEEDLESS to go with
styli (which are needles).
