As the sounds of commercial activity fade, it becomes apparent that you've wandered into a residential neighborhood. Here the raised voices of bartering merchants and the clink of money changing hands has been exchanged for the lower murmur of domesticity. Suprisingly enough, the cadences of the language spoken in this quarter of the city don't remind you at all of Arabic.
