Reward: The Wizard levels up!
When someone calls for the Wizard, he scavenges through his inventory looking for just the right magical item.

Please gather at least N of the 15 objects listed below, where N is determined by your official team size (see below). Each object will be assessed according to the attributes listed below it. All attributes are applicable and will be combined to determine an object’s net modifier value. Each object must meet the given minimum modifier value. The items must be physically presented in person; photographs, drawings, computer programs, and other such representations are not acceptable. The judges may request an explanation or demonstration of any claimed attribute that is not obvious to them.

The following bonus attributes may be applied to any of your team’s items; however, you may only use up to two bonus attributes, and each may only be used once:

  • +1 Accompanied by an original theme song (between 30 and 60 seconds long)
  • +1 Accompanied by a puzzle with a provided solution, written by your team, related to the item
  • +1 Accompanied by tasty cookies and/or donuts (which we will keep)

When you believe you have all of the items required, submit a request for HQ to send judges to evaluate your submission. Use the word “JUDGE” as your request. If the items pass inspection, you will be given the solution to this puzzle.

  • If your team size is 1–20, N = 4; in addition, you may subtract 1 from every minimum value.
  • If your team size is 21–40, N = 5
  • If your team size is 41–60, N = 6
  • If your team size is 61–80, N = 7
  • If your team size is 81–100, N = 8
  • If your team size is over 100, N = 10
