CRCP CMP Hidden Hub Project Overview

Purpose

The Hidden Hub project is an interesting way to learn the technologies important to this summer's work. The practical goal is to develop a Web site where a wide range of people will feel compelled to contribute interesting and original content about places through this medium. The overall technology goal is to explore the use of popular content syndication technologies--in particular weblogging, RSS and news aggregation--for the spatial information management needs of community groups.

The second half of the summer will be spent developing a second technology geared more specifically to these needs. It has not yet been specified, as it will depend on the lessons learned here and group feedback.
