As the aircraft swoops in to land at Dallas/Fort Worth, one is struck immediately by the size of everything in Texas... wide highways that look like airport runways... huge man-made lakes... I had been cautioned about the size of Texas, but was slightly overawed nonetheless.
The scene on the gound was no less different. As we made our way around the city, I saw more and more transportation infrastructure, even some four-tier grade-separated interchanges!
